Vacation & Birthday Celebration

It's quite some time that I ignored my dear blog. I don't intend to be one of those listed bloggers in mag such as In Trend or whatsoever. If I just happen to have some space to write, I will do. It's not everyday work I should submit definitely.

It's the initial of April 2011. How time flies... Firas now is already reach his 7 months old. He's so cheeky, cute lil boy who didn't give me much problem in his upbringing. Maybe it's too early to conclude but during first 6 months, he's so easy to handle. Thank to Allah SWT. Remember my last entry of how he managed to roll over? He's now on crawling stage. He's probably will take his first step before his first birthday, I guess. But who knows...

I just came back from a vacation. Not a luxury 5-star paid vacation, but I'd like to call it a family vacation. I always want to have a private vacation alias honeymoon where only me and my husband involved. Only us. However, planning on this love-vacation usually end up going with your kids. I don't know others. But, I'm dying for our private time without our kids. And at the same time, I have this feeling of leaving them with granny. I feel guilty. Hehe..should I be feeling that? I know. I definitely will have my moment someday and I look forward for that. Badly.

So, this family vacation went to Kuantan, Pahang. We actually were entraped to join this membership of vacation club. Now that we had our entitlement to expire very soon, we decided to finish it off. And Kuantan was our choice. Why? Swiss Garden Resort & Spa Kuantan is one of the best hotels i've stayed. The location is not really far from the uptown. Facilities provided are good and what I love the most is their games room/tupai kids club. Entertainment for both parent & kid. Everything's there. The beach is nice & yet private. The food is quite delicious. Although our entitlement does not come with breakfast, but I was presented with an offer of having breakfast buffet at only rm40 for 2 adults & 2 kids. We had our lunch usually from outside as well as dinner. I always crave to go to their Samsara Spa to having the whole body treatment from massage, milk/mud bath, hair treatment and all that. Next time perhaps.

The best thing when you go a vacation with family is to see joy and fun from your child's face. Farihin was clearly had fun & enjoy the trip exactly the way he wanted it to happen. Swimming pool is the ultimate attention there and he couldn't resist to jump in it anytime. He's such an excited kid and we understand. Firas? :-D  Pictures speak louder than words.

Hehe...what a bless to see them this way. I love them so much.

Oh yes, I also went to boutique Zleqha to collect my dress. I fell in love with the zobeida dress. It's white and smooth looking. Pleated and have buttons from top to bottom. So beautiful. Since I'm a plus size, buying ready made is impossible. I'm lucky to have the owner, Kak Lin was able to take order. She's actually an architechtural's grad from State and love fashion so much. She's inspired to design for muslimah contemporary clothes as a statement that Muslim can also dress fashionably and at the same time remain in modesty. Trust me, all the collections are awesome. My jaw dropped to the floor (exaggerating) when witness the designs in live. My wildest dream is to grab the whole summer, spring, winter collections but I know that would be financially-impossible. Haha...had to eat salty fish after that. So, those who have family - vacation is not something you really need but personally, why not? It doesn't need to be expensive and burden your pocket. A one day trip or one night stay is enough to have quality time out of your comfort boundary.

Today is my husband's 32th birthday. Know what? I pretended to forget his birthday. I didn't verbally wish him. Only on facebook that he may not notice at all. The thing is, I really my beloved's special day. This year, I don't buy any gift for him. I will later. Since I got nice birthday present so it's not fair for him. What I love to do is a surprise that involved only 4 of us (now 4 after Firas was born). So, lunch time I had this help from friend to buy a cake for my husband. It's a cheese cake with durian and vanilla filling from Secret Recipe. I know how much he loves durian. I abandon old boring typical chocolate cake. I also may blow some ballons and make a birthday banner on my own. I want him to be surprised and most of all; HAPPY. Wish me luck.

I need to go for the preparation. Bye.
